A portion of the proceeds from our EVERY CHILD MATTERS Orange Shirts will go towards The Rosie Fund which helps to support Indigenous girls in need of financial assistance to participate in hockey. TheRosieFund is named after my Grandfather's (George Armstrong) cousin, Rosie, who is a residential school survivor and attended Spanish Residential School along with her 5 siblings. The fund is named in her honour to help give opportunities to Indigenous girls. So far, The Rosie Fund has raised over $4,000 to be put back into the community.
